Other Information / Remarks
Edmund Gardiner was born in Stafford. He originally enlisted, in Leeds, into 3rd/4th Bn., Seaforth Highlanders. His death was announced in the Yorkshire Evening Post on Thursday, 1 August 1918. He had a younger sister called Winifred.

Edmund Gardiner's father was a watchmaker. Visiting on the night of the 1901 census was 50 year old boot and shoe maker, William Stainton. During this time the family was living at 74 Stockbrook Road, Derby.
