Other Information / Remarks
|
John Braham was formerly employed at Leeds Forge. His death was announced in the Yorkshire Evening Post published on Monday,
15 April 1918. Walter his father was a gas meter maker.
He had previously served as No. 8486 with 2nd/2nd Bn., London Regiment. He was born and enlisted in Leeds.
When Scholes was expanding in the 1930's, the land on which Lynnfield Gardens was to be built was sold to the builder
by a Mr Braham who lived at the junction of Main Street and Station Road. The unusual surname points to this being a relative
of John Braham.
